This visa is designed for Temporary Graduates holding a Post-Higher Education Work, Post-Study Work or Replacement visa with a degree from an Australian institution located in a regional area. It allows you to live, work and study in Australia temporarily.

Between 1 and 2 years depending on: the regional location of the educational institution that you graduated from that led to the grant of your first Temporary Graduate visa the regional area that you live in as the holder of your Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Higher Education Work, Post-Study Work or Replacement stream.

Cost

From AUD 1,890.00 From 1 March 2026, a lower visa cost applies to eligible Pacific Island and Timor-Leste citizens who lodge a valid Temporary Graduate visa application. See About this visa.

You need to

  • be aged 35 years or under when you lodge an application. *Exceptions lodge an application
  • be in Australia when you lodge this visa application
  • hold a Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Higher Education Work, Post-Study Work, or the Replacement stream and have held a Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Higher Education Work or Post-Study Work stream, as the main applicant
  • have a degree in a CRICOS registered course from an education institution based in an eligible designated regional area, that led to the grant of your first Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Higher Education Work or Post-Study Work stream
  • have lived in an eligible designated regional area for at least 2 years immediately before applying for your Second Temporary Graduate visa in the Post-Higher Education Work stream
  • have evidence of adequate health insurance for all applicants when you lodge an application.
